Company
The two lines of business (heavy steel and steel tower construction / lighter and medium-heavy steel, component, and cab chassis construction) of Schönebecker Maschinenbau, founded in March 2006, were separated in mid-2008 as a result of rapid growth. The area of steel, component, and cab chassis construction was hived off into the specially-created sfb Schönebecker Fahrzeugbau GmbH on 1 July 2008 by tm Verwaltungs GmbH.
This strategic decision serves to guarantee the customer and market focus of the individual lines of business in the long term and accords with the basic principle of an independent, lean, and flexible company of manageable size under the parent tm Verwaltungs GmbH.
Around 100 employees currently complete c. 150,000 production hours annually at sfb Schönebecker Fahrzeugbau GmbH, working on modern machinery in a hall with an area of c. 19,000 m2. Like its sister company smb, sfb also has further growth potential.
