gsd Großanlagen- und Schwermaschinenbau Dessau GmbH, founded in 1999, is located at the Dessau site, where over decades primarily equipment for cement plants was manufactured at ZAB and HWZ. With currently 130 employees, this company occupies a key position in the tmGROUP. On c. 20,000 m2 of hall space and 15,000 m2 of open space, our 130 employees machine c. 50,000 tons of heavy plates and 20,000 tons of castings and forged parts every year. Standard production capacity of the plant is c. 200,000 hours a year.
In the field of heavy mechanical engineering and plant manufacture, we provide you with complex solutions “from a single source” as well as major assemblies and conservation and final assembly services. Alongside completely manufactured tubular steel towers for wind turbine generators, traditional equipment for cement plants, mills, cooling apparatus, drums, and rotary furnaces are produced at the Dessau site.
On the basis of the customer’s project planning and structural design, we offer the complete manufacture of major assemblies based on cylindrical or conical designs up to a tonnage of 160 tons.
